Who’s in the mood for a mod makeup tutorial? It’s all about a bold eye and dewey skin. This Cult Gaia dress inspired my retro look from beauty to how I styled my hair. First a little foundation and contouring, can’t forget the highlighter, I used three shades of NARS Green shadow, Matcha, Nightporter and a streak of Riding High.
Take some black liner to create a wing tip on the top lash line. 70’s beauty was heavy on the lashes so go in with a liquid eyeliner and create dots to give a faux appearance. Don’t forget to go heavy on the mascara application, the heavier the better.
If you have bangs, my trick is to use a clean eyebrow/mascara wand for brushing out your bangs just right. Now all you need is the right accessories and a few dance moves to get your night started. This look was for the first New York Fashion Week event of the season where I debuted my eight month belly bump and danced the night away!
Head over to my Instagram page to watch this full mod makeup tutorial unfold, I’ll also be posting behind the scenes content from my New York Fashion week events on there, so stay tuned!
