Robot Solves Rubik’s Cube Faster Than You Can Blink – Open Electronics

By Boris Landoni on April 3, 2023

In the world of speedcubing, solving Rubik’s cubes in under 10 seconds is an impressive feat for humans.

But what about robots? meet [aaedmusa]’s Rubik’s cube-solving machine, powered by a Teensy 4.1 microcontroller and six stepper motors.

Although the robot does not feature machine vision, it can solve the cube in under 5 seconds once its state is loaded into a web app.

While this time doesn’t break any records, it’s still an impressive feat considering that the robot directly activates each face of the cube.

So, while you may not be able to beat the robot just yet, solving a Rubik’s cube is a learnable skill that can be mastered with hard work and training.
